I returned home from the 2008 ISPI Conference in New York City mid-week. Again, it was a great experience! It is always great to catch up with folks of like-mind once a year. The like-mind is all about HPT - Human Performance Technology - the science behind Performance Improvement of individuals, processes, organizations and society - all of which are "human systems" as Don Tosti would say.
Here is the Session Map - a take-off on my Lesson Map from PACT - that Ray Svenson and I used for our session on "Performance-based Employee Qualification/Certification Systems and Tests" based on our recent book - which is available as a free PDF at http://qualificationcertificationsystem.wikispaces.com/

And here is the best review we got in the Evaluations:
It’s one thing when someone circles all of the 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, or 5s. It’s another when they add pluses and write a detailed set of comments. Especially when it comes from someone so experienced!
Thanks for the feedback!

I also had an "Apple Barrel" session where I covered my use of the "Management Areas of Performance" model - covered in the book I wrote and released as a free PDF about 8 months before the "PbEQ/CS" book. More on that later in another Blog Posting.
It was a great conference.
I captured 19 sets of video for the HPT Practitioner Podcasts - so now there are 21 Video Podcasts - all available at HPT Connections - which you can join for free and see these!
